A familiar face is set to join the Columbus Crew again. Kei Kamara, who played for the Crew in 2006, was playing in the English Football League Championship club Middlesbrough, but mutually parted with them two months ago. Since then, coach Gregg Berhalter has been talking with Kamara about coming back to the team. “The coach called me, and … I’m a family person, which means the fact that he showed interest not just because of business but showed interest in calling me and talking to me personally about his idea and what he wants to do over here grabbed my attention,” Kamara told the Dispatch. The player is set to hit the Crew fields next week, but won’t be able to play in games until the 2015 preseason.
