The NHL is debating expansion and adding cities to the league but sports blogger Eric Wilbur for Boston.com debates the pros and cons of that expansion and drags the Columbus Blue Jackets into the thick of it. There are four teams that could be sites of new NHL teams, including Quebec City, Las Vegas, Seattle and a second franchise in Toronto. Wilbur says that an additional four teams would water down the existing league and there would be teams where teams shouldn’t be. His argument: “Columbus can surrender its team to Quebec City, which never should have lost its franchise, just as ‘The Indie Arts Capital of the World’ should never have gotten one.”
Columbus shouldn’t have ever gotten an hockey team, eh?
