Braxton Miller named captain, will travel with team

While Braxton Miller was slated to have surgery Tuesday morning and won’t be able to travel with the team over the weekend for the Navy game, he is set to be one of the 70 people to travel with the team regardless of the fact that he has been sidelined. Additionally Miller will also be one of the five team captains along with Jeff Heuerman, tight end, Michael Bennett, defensive tackle, Doran Grant, cornerback and Curtis Grant, linebacker.

While some have argued that his presence might take the spot of a more necessary (and eligible) player, Miller also will act as a captain and a mentor to the budding J.T. Barrett.
