Dad said no: Mix Diskerud was almost on the Crew
A few weeks back, a US Mens National Team soccer player reached out to the Crew, made a hand-shake deal and was nearly part of the team. That player: Mix Diskerud. Coming off a stint at the 2014 World Cup with the US, Diskerud had donned Landon Donovan’s old number (10), but the deal with the Crew was off after Diskerud’s father who also works as his agent asked for more money, Stars and Stripes FC reported. While more negotiations are still happening, the likelihood of the player’s paperwork being done and filed by the Wednesday transfer deadline to play this season is quite slim.
