Ohio State has confirmed Tuesday’s reports that Braxton Miller will miss this coming season after re-injuring his shoulder. “I am on course to graduate in December and I want to attend graduate school, and then return to lead the Buckeyes next season,” Miller said in a press release. During his absence, J.T. Barrett will fill his shoes as starting quarterback.
“This is an unfortunate injury to a young man who means so much to this program and to Buckeye nation,” Urban Meyer said in the release. Monday’s injury resulted from a non-contact, routine throwing drill, that caused Miller to collapse on the ground.
