Buckeye nation can sigh a breathe of relief now that the season opener has closed. OSU took the win, 34-17, without their star quarterback, Braxton Miller, who had surgery Tuesday on his shoulder. “We didn’t resemble what we expect to be,” Urban Meyer said. “Whether it’s lack of Carlos Hyde, lack of offensive line.” While yes, a win is a win, the game wasn’t quite what was expected of the Buckeyes this year. The running backs filling the shoes of Carlos Hyde didn’t come near their processor’s abilities racking up a combined total of 99 yards between Ezekiel Elliott and Curtis Samuel.
Meyer: “We have a lot of work to do. But we’ll take this win.”
