Urban allows 2 freshmen into Champions’ Club

Not many freshman gain access to the Champions’ Club, but coach Urban Meyer allowed two onto the field in a rare show of freshmen strength. As the OSU football team jogged out onto the field, the new football babies had practice first and then the veterans practiced in the afternoon. Raekwon McMillan and Johnnie Dixon joined the afternoon practice. Don’t recognize those names? It might be because both are true freshman that have been allowed to practice with the veterans after proving themselves all spring. “[They earned it] in the spring,” Meyer said, according to Eleven Warriors. “It’s rare. I don’t really think we’ve ever had freshmen in the Champions’ Club. They’re over 3.0 (GPA) students, take care of their business, act like pros, act like grown men. So we let them practice with the grown men today.”
