Memorial to be held for prolific local Yelp food reviewer
Paul F. didn’t discriminate what kind of places he reviewed. From gas station hot dogs to hospitals to breakfast joints. He is considered a legendary reviewer who used Yelp has his platform, and in his nearly six years using the site he wrote nearly 1,000 reviews. Paul Ferrara died Aug. 23 at 70 years old, and his last review was for The Market Italian Village which he gave five stars. A memorial is set for Tuesday, which will include other Yelpers gathering at Fortune Chinese Restaurant on Olentangy River Road which he said was one of his favorite restaurants. Ferrara prided himself in getting to restaurants first and wrote first reviews for 188 places, and created a Yelp presence as a grumpy old man that didn’t sugarcoat anything.
