Lessner’s California venture won’t take her from Cbus
Liz Lessner it seems, won’t be spending quite as much time in California as locals thought. Columbus Business First reported that she will only be leaving Columbus maybe a few times a year for California. She also said she wouldn’t be a farmer, but will be involved in the buying and selling of food.

The Jury Room to close, reopen with new owners
The Jury Room, one of the oldest restaurants in the city has been sold by the Columbus Food League. The restaurant was set to close at 5 p.m. on Sunday and then be closed for two weeks until the next set of owners swing in. Liz Lessner and the Columbus Food League had reopened it in 2010, but she is planning on heading back to California for a new produce farm venture. She is planning to keep an eye on her remaining restaurants here in Columbus from the west coast. The Jury Room should be opened again in the next two weeks.
