Conservatives pushing a bill to require photo ID to vote

After the Ohio Christian Alliance pushed for a law requiring a photo ID to vote, conservatives began pushing Bill 269 which would require voters to have just that. Republicans have begun pushing for a petition that would effectively force the bill out of committee and onto the House floor so the bill could go to a vote (if the petition gets 50 votes), according to WTVN. Those in favor of the bill say that it would help combat voter fraud, but those against the law have said the bill seems to fight something that isn’t even a problem and could discourage low-income minorities from arriving at the polls.
