Kasich for the win, a landslide win

To the shock of pretty much no one, incumbent Republican governor John Kasich was reelected, and he was brought forth as the winner minutes after the polls closed. This was partly due to the fact that his opponent, Ed FitzGerald, had a campaign riddled with problems and lacked money. Kasich’s winning rally Tuesday night was filled with supporters at the Renaissance Hotel downtown. While Kasich has dismissed rumors of being a presidential hopeful, many have said Tuesday’s major victory could be a helping hand toward that.
Others who went home with wins were Republican Secretary of State John Husted, Justice Judi French, Republican Auditor Dave Yost, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Treasurer Josh Mandel.
