According to reports from Bloomberg, Ohio’s gay marriage ban might be headed to the US Supreme Court where the justices will decide by Jan. 9 whether to hear challenges to bans in Ohio (and several other states). Several federal appellate court rulings have struck down gay marriage restrictions, but the 6th US Circuit Court of Appeals overturned five lower court rulings in Ohio and four other states in favor of marriage equality in November.
Bloomberg stated that a decision to take up the issue could mean a ruling by June on a “landmark clash over an issue that has divided the country.”
