As of January 1, Ohio’s minimum wage will increase. Minimum wage will now be $8.10/hr (increase of 15¢ an hour) and the minimum wage for workers receiving tips will be $4.05/hr (increase of 7¢ an hour).
The wage increase will boost wages for more than 25,000 Ohioans, and one nonprofit policy group estimates that the increase will generate around $36 million in economic growth from higher consumer spending.
