Whoops. $88 million food-stamp error

It might be a measly 4.1 percent, but that percentage equals millions of dollars misspent when it comes to the massive federal funding Ohio gets for its food-stamp program, and Ohio went over the national average for error this year as well, according to the Dispatch. While most of the issues were the state overpaying recipients, but there was still about $32 million underpayments. Generally errors like this are caused by miscalculations by county worker, recipient mistakes and sometimes fraud.
