700 complaints later, Knights Inn closes
The police shut down Knights in at 1300 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Friday morning after more than 700 calls to the police were made for help in the last two years. This included drug and prostitution sales, and an undercover female detective was offered a lower rate on a room in exchange for sex.

Another nuisance to be shuttered by the city
he city is moving to close down another property that they have deemed a nuisance, the latest causality being the Knights Inn on 1300 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Those at the inn have been told by police that the place will be boarded up at 11 a.m. on Friday. There have been shootings both in the rooms and in the parking lot and two men were arrested in the inn for being involved in a slaying about a mile down the road, the Dispatch reported. Police have also found that it has been used as a place for a drug exchange. In 2013 the State Fire Marshall’s office found that the inn was still running with stained mattresses and bedding, unsanitary rooms and guest rooms that were converted to be used as storage and other violations, according to the paper.
