CPD tired of streets becoming bathrooms
Columbus police (probably like many police near large universities) have an issue with public urination. It happens all the time, and in the past ten years, 1,500 people have been given citations while many more have been giving warnings and so many others aren’t even caught the Dispatch reported. Oddly enough though, it’s not just the campus area. Both Easton and the Arena District are known for having quite a few people peeing in public and police are warning people to do so at their own risk, because it can be a citation.
