Domestic violence victims could be granted privacy
Democrats have introduced a bill that would allow victims of domestic violence to keep their address anonymous when voting or participating in other activities. “The logic behind our bill is simple,” Rep. Kathleen Clyde said, the Dispatch reported. “People who are brave enough to leave their situations deserve the full support of their state once they rebuild their lives.” The Address Confidentiality Program would have victims sign up anonymously for a placeholder address so that their previous abusers could not find or harass them.
