Dump the bins. City splurges for new trash cans

Monday night, city council approved $850,000 for new trash bins. With the harsh winter and time itself aided by abuse of constant pick up, trash bins around the city are wearing out faster than the city can keep up with replacement orders, according to WTVN. About $500,000 will go toward buying the 2,700-gallon bins themselves which are generally used mostly by households across Columbus.
