East Columbus gas leak causes evacuations

UPDATE: A 12 inch gas line was struck yesterday afternoon near Dawson and N Cassady Ave. The gas leak caused at least 15 homes to be evacuated and closed several roads while fire crews took gas readings at the scene. Residents were allowed to return to their homes last night, but they stayed at a shelter at Jeffrey Park and Mansion (Bexley) until the morning.
Columbia Gas fixed the leak early this morning.

East Columbus: Gas Leak / Evacuation
A gas line has been struck near the corner of Dawson and North Cassady Avenues. Several roads in the area have been closed and a number of homes have been evacuated. The area is expected to remain closed for several hours.
