Earthquakes have apparently been on the minds of officials here in Franklin county, so much so that Thursday is an official earthquake drill. Citizens are asked that at exactly 10:16 a.m., they participate in an earthquake drill which asks people to get on the ground, take cover underneath a sturdy object and then wait until the (pretend) shaking stops.
Yes, this is a concern apparently because when someone thinks of Ohio they think of corn, cows and treacherous earthquakes. While it may seem comical that this is a county wide drill, Ohio does get earthquakes.
