Thank you to Governor Kasich, Mayor Coleman and all of the local leaders and fans who attended the statue dedication today in Columbus. As I said today, this statue isn’t just about physical strength – it is a reminder to always have a strong mind, to do as Apple says and Think Different. And I meant what I said: the @ArnoldSports is in Columbus to stay.

UPDATE: The Arnold Classic is here to stay. “Why would we move it?” Arnold Schwarzenegger asked at the reinstallation of the Arnold statue today, according to Columbus Business First. Many cities have attempted to yank the fitness competition away from Columbus, but Schwarzenegger has remained adamant it stay in Columbus.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is back in town to rededicate his 600-pound statue that has been relocated from Franklin County Veterans Memorial to the Convention Center. The body builder along with governor John Kasich is set to appear at the Convention Center at noon Monday for the ceremony.

Goodbye Arnold, at least for now

Goodbye, Arnold. It was nice while it lasted.

The bronze version of the famous body builder, actor, politician and business man is taking a hiatus from its spot as the Franklin County Veterans Memorial is demolished. So Arnold Schwarzenegger (statue version) is getting installed outside the Convention Center this week, and the real Schwarzenegger is set to come to town Oct. 6 to rededicate the bronze version of himself, according to Brent LaLonde, spokesman for the Arnold Sports Festival.
