At 12:01 a.m. Friday morning, the Reynoldsburg teachers began their strike. The threat has been looming for weeks, and about 70 teachers took to the picket line with signs reading “On strike” and “Fighting for the schools our children deserve.” From classes that were more than 30 kids to seven books in a classroom of 31, teachers have had enough, but the students still showed up at school, and the picketing teachers even waved at some of their students, the Dispatch reported. Substitute teachers came to school in the morning to yells from the picketing teachers. Thursday, the school board and the teachers union attempted to come to an agreement for four hours to no avail.
