Traffic cams could be out
Wednesday morning, a bill made it out of committee in the Senate that would pretty much make traffic cameras expensive and eventually obsolete. The bill has said if a city does want to continue using a traffic cam then an actual police officer has to be present to at each intersection where a cam is, which would effectively make the cameras too costly to run. Those who opposed the bill attempted to make changes to the way cams are used and supported the effectiveness of the traffic cameras.
