Exploring our love of money at Cbus Museum of Art

Like technology and weather, money is one of the few overarching themes that affects nearly every person. It’s a constant and nagging influence because of its presence or lack there of and the Columbus Museum of Art is opening an exhibition dedicated to art that looks at the relationship people have with money titled “In __ We Trust: Art and Money.”

The works range from delving into physical money to the complex thoughts of how it is utilized socially. “There are works in this show that are about, or suggest, that value is also a matter of perception. It’s about that shifting gears; what appears to lack in value actually can have something of value,” Tyler Cann, the associate curator of contemporary art, told Alive. The exhibit begins Friday.
