Quick and healthy can finally become one. Acre: Farm-to-table To-go is set to open on Friday in Old North Columbus. Todd Mills is blending the world of fast food and healthy food with his new concept. His shop consists of a few menu boards of items with smoothies, wraps, salads and bowls. The wholesome food is also working with Columbus non-profit Local Matters to teach kids about healthy habits. The ingredients are fresh and the sauces are made in-house for patrons coming to Acre.

Cheap eats: Farm-to-Table made quick and affordable

Let’s be serious, farm to table restaurants that tout their wonderfully fresh produce and hormone free food are generally more expensive. Customers pay for the knowledge of where their food is coming from. ACRE is trying to reshape that pricey image. Todd Mills, an OSU MBA graduate plans to open ACRE: Farm-to-Table To-Go by October in Clintonville. The plan is to combine the best of both worlds: fast food and healthy food. Meals will be under $10, and able to be picked up and taken to go.
