A ride to end cancer. The slogan has always been Pelotonia’s goal, but what dent does the ride actually make? For the James, an end to funds that are funneled through the bike race would mean an end to many of the program’s and advancements that the cancer research center has created since the inaugural race. $68 million has poured into the hospital and this weekend’s race has more riders than any year thus far. Equipment, technology and super specialists (those who specialize in a specific type of cancer) have been added to the James force since the race, according to Columbus Monthly.
