Columbus recycling efforts higher than ever
The curbside pickup program for recycling launched in 2012 and these past few months have broken records for the amount of recycling picked up. From May to July 8,981 tons were picked up which is the highest ever three month period to date, according to Columbus Underground. Thus far the program has saved the city $3.4 million in landfill tipping fees.
