Candidate for Ohio Governor endorses med. marijuana

The democratic candidate for Ohio governor Ed FitzGerald is stepping into a sticky area: medical marijuana use. Going out on a limb, FitzGerald put out his support for medical marijuana under doctor supervision. Most republicans are likely to disagree and even many democrats have kept a distance from the issue. He told the Cincinnati Enquirer Wednesday that the use of medical marijuana could help some people’s conditions and pain.  He said denying it would have been lack of compassion for those who suffer.
