After neighbors called and complained about dogs and a serious smell along with rodents, a humane society agent went to take a look at a north Columbus home. Turns out the smell was because the man was living in “unsanitary” conditions with 41 dogs. The dogs were mainly Pomeranian, Chihuahua, and miniature Pinschers, and the humane society worker who inspected the house after the complaint said the floor was wet and covered in what looked like feces, according to NBC4. The humane society said that because of the conditions some of the dogs were in and because of the living situation in the house, about a dozen had to be put down for their health. 41 dogs had to be removed Sunday and 13 had been removed on a previous visit.

The charges for the owner are still pending.
