Following several botched (or seemingly botched) executions, the landscape for capital punishment is shifting and Attorney General Mike DeWine has proposed changes to the practice in Ohio. The changes have been endorsed by Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association and would grant immunity to physicians who advice the states on executions and give anonymity to prison workers who are on an execution team. Drug companies who provide the drugs for a lethal injection would be anonymous to the public, media and defense attorneys, according to the Dispatch.
