ECDI (Economic and Community Development Institute) awarded three Columbus startups with vouchers to buy laptops, POS systems, and other technology through their new Tech Savvy program. The SBA-approved micro-lender will host a business-development training for 360 people over the next year with 30 of the 360 (including this week’s three winners) being awarded up to $800 for laptops and other technology for business use.
Not every startup is tech-based, as seen by the the winners of this first round. La’trice Chatman, will open Superb Salads To Go in Pickerington, Patricia Okoro, owner of Pat’s Delicious Chin-Chin will be moving to ECDI’s Food Fort, and Dale Grinstead, will set up Goodfellow’s Barber in the German Village.
