A check was sent to CCAD that was a surprise gift that floored the administration. A million dollars. A million just landed in the laps of CCAD from Eva Jane Reamer who died in 2006. She hadn’t married and didn’t have children or relatives to inherit the money, and per stipulations the money was to go to CCAD in eight years or when her close friend Elma Trinter died, it was just a matter of which time frame was longer, according to the Dispatch. Trinter passed away in 2009, so it was just a waiting game until CCAD was handed its gift after eight years. The money is set to only go toward student scholarships and faculty pay.
