A Franklin County deputy sheriff was shot and wounded while serving a probate warrant. The deputy, who sheriff Zach Scott said is Sean P. Brady, was taken Mount Carmel West hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Brady was serving a probate warrant at a house and got into a confrontation with someone, who then shot the officer. They exchanged gunfire, according to the sheriff. A suspect is in custody.
