A former waitress is suing El Vaquero after having worked their and seen their practices. Rhonda Sanchez has filed a lawsuit saying that servers were not allowed to keep their tips and were required to pay back 3 percent of their sales to the restaurant and if you didn’t make 3 percent in tips that night you were required to pay out of your own pocket. Sanchez’ claim has spurred the lawsuit to become a class action lawsuit that brings in about 450 current and former employees to the ring, according to the Dispatch. Sanchez has claimed that the restaurant would pay workers for the time they were scheduled but then required them to stay before and after their shift which they were not paid for.
