Former asst. principle pleads guilty in data scandal

A former assistant principle pleaded guilty Friday to changing grades which is a fourth-degree felony. Stanley K. Pyle went into school’s records and changed hundreds of students from having failing grades to passing ones at Marion-Franklin High School. In the data scandal that rocked Columbus City Schools he is the second person to be convicted. The prosecutor said that Pyle felt justified because the students were there and they were trying. Those failing grades were bumped from Fs to Ds. According to the Dispatch, it appears Pyle has changed more grades in the scandal than anyone else involved.
