Four plus hour wait to register new CCS students

Parents waited for hours at Fort Hayes to enroll new students into Columbus City Schools the day before school began. Some parents had been waiting five hours to enroll their children who were new to the area. On the (slight) bright side, parents can take solace in the fact that last year’s average was five or six hours as compared to this year’s four or five hours. A CCS spokesman told NBC4, “We don’t have a way to anticipate who’s going to have custody papers or other things that they have to come back and provide.” Essentially that boils down to the fact that CCS can’t do anything about that wait time.
