Expect delays, but I-71 open again following fuel spill

UPDATE: After a fuel spill had 71 North closed, the highway is now open. There are still delays expected because it was closed for nearly two hours.

71 North at I-670 is backed up after a dump truck spilled fuel. Authorities have reported that the truck did not tip, but did begin to leak fuel. For drivers attempting to enter 71 North from from 5th Avenue, 11th Avenue, and 17th Avenue, those ramps are closed. Drivers must exit onto 670 east or west because of the closure.
