Huntington to slice jobs to save $30M

Huntington Bancshares is cutting jobs in order to save money. The company is the overarching parent company of Columbus’ Huntington National Bank. The number of jobs being cut hasn’t been disclosed just yet, but it will save the company about $30 million per year, according to Columbus Business First. Transition pay and outplacement services will be afforded to all the employees let go, and according to the paper a spokeswoman said only “a small percentage of colleagues” would be effected.
