Huntington National Bank purchased the Wyandotte Building, Columbus’ first skyscraper. The 11-story, 38,000-square-foot building sits on the corner of Broad and Front St (19-23 W Broad St). The former home of Wyandotte Building & Loan is known for its design by Chicago architect Daniel Burnham.
An asset investment company, Klingbeil Capital Management, sold the building to Huntington as a “private sale” for $3.6 million. Huntington has offices along (1) S High St. and a 12-story office property at (37) W Broad St. A spokesman for Huntington said that their purchase shows an “ongoing investment and commitment to downtown Columbus.”
