While most of us will be staying up until the wee hours to watch the official Times Square ball drop, the midnight hour might be a long wait for others (especially kids). Netflix has decided to step in and offer something for those who want their kids to enjoy NYE15, but still have a reasonable bedtime.
The streaming service created an countdown hosted by King Julien (the fictional king of the lemurs from Madagascar). The three minute countdown started streaming on Dec. 30th and includes some of the dancing lemurs from the movie. In a statement release by Netflix, King Julien said:
“Move over, Ryan Seacrest, I’ve got my very own on-demand countdown party on Netflix.”
