Dajanae Harmon had planned on leaving Columbus when she was 16 years-old to find a happy life in a new state. In Baltimore though, she began dating 50-year-old Joseph Crawley and she said it had been a good relationship, that is, until she became pregnant. Things changed then and he began abusing her and even though she thought about returning to Columbus she was worried about how her parents would react to her pregnancy, ABC6 reported.

Once they moved to West Virginia, he threatened her and Harmon had had enough. She called the police and told them who she really was. Harmon isn’t planning on pressing charges on Crawley passed the domestic assault and misdemeanor possession of marijuana charges because she was never held against her will, the station reported.

Teen sees family again after going missing 2 yrs ago

Friday, Dajanae Harmon, now 18 years-old, was found in a West Virginia hotel by police when neighbors heard arguing between her and her 50-year-old boyfriend. When officers began questioning her she told them who she was and that she had been missing. Her mother, Jarmale Triplette, drove from Columbus to West Virginia to pick up both her daughter and her new granddaughter who was born while Harmon was gone.

Missing Cbus teen found 2 years after disappearance

In 2012, Dajanae Harmon who was 16 at the time went missing. She has now been found though, just five hours away in Welch, West Virginia. She was found when police were called for a domestic dispute Friday morning with 50-year-old Joseph Crawley, who she now has a child with, according to ABC6. Currently reports are still unclear if she was taken or went willingly and Crawley’s current charges include domestic assault and marijuana possession.
