No more rumors: Cbus official finalist for Stone Brewing

Friday, the California brewer finally squashed the rumors and speculations and officially named its top three favorites: Columbus, Ohio, Norfolk, Virginia and Richmond, Virginia. “As reported in regional outlets and chatter on the Internet, we have narrowed the focus of our search for an Eastern U.S. brewery,” a post to their Facebook page said. Stone Brewing though, “won’t be at a point where we can announce our final decision until at least several weeks from now. But we’re excited and on our way.”

While other cities have speculated as to why Columbus even got the nod at all, the Buckeye state has still been acknowledged in the race. The new brewery would pour in $60 million to the city, and as the city has displayed with Tap a Stone Day it is quite ready to see the brewery hit Ohio.
