‘Ohio Idol’ didn’t feel like paying winners, shuts down

It’s not “American Idol.” It’s not even “American Idol” with all its original judges, but “Ohio Idol” still should probably pay winners what was promised. Second season winner, Greg Cooley, claims the owner Steve Wise only paid him for half of his winnings and first season winner, Abby Boland, said she was fired during the tour, according to WTVN. Wise though doesn’t agree with the winners’ version of the story and claimed Boland wasn’t showing up for rehearsals and that Cooley quit in the middle of the season. The idol or the owner? Wise announced though that “Ohio Idol” would “go out of business” Saturday and will finish up the rest of the season.
