One man dead after car went into a pond on the east side of Columbus

One man is dead after being pulled out of a pond on the east side of Columbus. Around 2:00 a.m. this morning, police and emergency crews were called to the area of Heatherbridge and Cedar Bridge Lane after it was reported that a car was in the water. Columbus firefighters pulled a man from the water and he was taken to Mt. Carmel East Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Witnesses said the man got into the car after a possible domestic situation and had began to drive away when the car went into the water. The police are continuing to investigate.
