Shootout: Officer down and suspect dead

A probation officer was shot Thursday morning in a shootout and after being raced to Grand Medical Center was taken into surgery. Police say he was shot in the stomach during the incident, and is currently recovering from surgery. As for the suspect, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. Details on the shooting still aren’t known.
