A man charged with selling bath salts (a designer drug with effects similar to cocaine and methamphetamine) in the Short North has been granted a bit of extra freedom before his sentencing begins so he can be there for the birth of his child. Hasan Mobarak will remain free until Oct. 27 to wait for his wife to give birth, the Dispatch reported. He pleaded guilty on two counts of drug trafficking and was sentenced to three years in prison.
