Fans of the allen wrench were excited by news that Ikea might be building a store in central Ohio, possibly on the site of the former Polaris Amphitheater. But it looks like Columbus is out of luck, as it seems like the company is looking into buying land near Cleveland. A local Cleveland newspaper reported that Ikea has a purchase contract for 16 acres in the suburb of Brooklyn right off I-480.
You might have to still drive two hours to get to the nearest Ikea, but at least you can pick up some meatballs from the cafeteria for the drive home.
