Bo knows you, Hilliard…and he knows that you’re waiting
In his playing days, Bo Jackson could do it all…the 1985 Heisman Trophy winner, a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, four seasons with the Raiders, (switching to baseball) eight seasons in the majors, a two-time MLB all-star. So, when he announced plans to open a world-class sports training facility in Hilliard, it was big news. Bo came to town for the groundbreaking in September of 2013 with plans to open for business in the summer of 2014.
We’re still waiting,
The project suffered serious delays due to lease negotiations and trouble with financing. But, have no fear. Bo Jackson Elite Sports, based out of Chicago, says that they still have plans to build. Financing continues to be an issue, but they say that they hope to begin construction this year with an opening sometime in 2016. So, hang on, Hilliard. Bo knows that you’re waiting and he hasn’t forgotten about you. (jj)
