CBJ Injury Update: What about Bob?

Its back-to-business for the Columbus Blue Jackets, one day after hosting the 60th NHL All-Star Game.  And while the team continues to collect accolades for their stellar efforts in hosting the game and all of the events surrounding it, bad news has come for the club and its fans.  All-Star goalie Sergei Bobrovsky is OUT.

Bobrovsky, selected to his first All-Star game this year, was sidelined by a groin injury suffered in a game last week vs the Winnipeg Jets.  The team has now announced that they are likely to be without the services of their All-Star net minder for the next four to six weeks.  That is rough news for a club battling to recapture the success of last year’s playoff team.  With a record of 20-22-3, the Jackets currently find themselves in 6th place in the Metropolitan Divison.  (jj)
