Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott says he didn’t know that he was driving on a suspended license Sunday when the vehicle that he was driving hydroplaned on 315 and he collided with another car. (Elliott was cited for driving under suspension, operating without a license, and failure to control.)
Reports say that unpaid speeding tickets may have been the original reason for the suspension of Elliot’s license.
During a press event on Tuesday, the Buckeye football star said that for now he’s going to allow his lawyer and his father deal with the legal issues associated with the weekend incident while he focuses on Friday’s Fiesta Bowl. Elliott added that he’s “just happy that nobody was majorly injured in the accident.”
